RAD Catering is run by Darren, and he is not only a seriously talented chef but also one of the most genuine, friendly people you could meet. I have known Darren for years through many slightly mad and very memorable charity banger rallies, and over that time I have seen his catering business go from strength to strength. It has been brilliant to watch.
RAD Catering is all about big, bold flavours. As Darren puts it, if the food you are eating does not make you say “yum” with every mouthful, you are eating the wrong food. That sums up their approach perfectly. Every dish is designed to be full of flavour, satisfying and made to be properly enjoyed.

They make the most of amazing local produce, which not only tastes fantastic but also supports other brilliant South West suppliers.
What I really love about RAD Catering is the passion they bring to every event. The team genuinely care about the experience guests have, not just the food on the plate. They want people smiling, chatting and going back for seconds, and that energy carries right through the day.
From my side as a wedding host and DJ, great food plays a huge role in the atmosphere. When guests have had a fantastic meal, the mood is lifted, conversations flow, and the evening celebrations start on a high. RAD Catering consistently helps create that feeling.
Darren also builds strong relationships with his couples. He listens carefully, works around different styles of wedding, and brings ideas to the table that help make each celebration feel unique. That personal, flexible approach makes him a dream to work alongside on a wedding day.
A really special moment for both of us was in 2025, when we stood side by side as winners at the South West Wedding Awards in our respective categories. It was such a proud moment and a real reflection of the care and effort Darren puts into every event he caters.
